Entering the 2024-25 season, former Warriors guard Klay Thompson holds the record for most 3-pointers made in an NBA game with 14. He set that mark on Oct. 29, 2018 in Chicago when he scored 52 points to spark a 149-124 Golden State win against the Bulls.
Prior to Thompson’s performance in 2018, his former Warriors teammate Stephen Curry held the record with 13 3-pointers made (Nov. 7, 2016 vs. New Orleans). Since then, two more players have made 13 3-pointers in a game, bringing the total to four.
Klay Thompson:
14 3-pointers, 52 points (Oct. 29, 2018, Warriors vs. Bulls)
Stephen Curry
: 13 3-pointers, 46 points (Nov. 7, 2016, Warriors vs. Pelicans)
Damian Lillard

Zach LaVine

While Curry no longer holds the single-game record, the all-time leader in 3-pointers made (3,747) has the most games with 10 or more 3-pointers made with 25. Fifty-three players have made at least 10 3-pointers in a game, but only two other players have done so more than three times — Thompson (nine) and Lillard (five).
10+ 3-pointers made:
97 games by 53 players (Curry leads with 25)
11+ 3-pointers made:

In the NBA Playoffs, there have only been three games in which a player has made at least 10 3-pointers. Lillard has two of them, including the record 12 3-pointers made on June 1, 2021 in a first-round overtime loss to the Denver Nuggets.
